Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the practice questions and quizzes really free?+
Yes — all quizzes, flashcards, and study guides on MPJENaplexGuide.com are completely free with no account required. For comprehensive state-specific MPJE question banks (150–225+ questions per jurisdiction with full legal rationales), we recommend PharmacyExam.com.
What is the MPJE passing score?+
The MPJE passing score is 75 on a scaled score of 0–100. This is NOT a raw percentage. Many candidates pass with fewer than 75% of questions correct if they received harder questions throughout the adaptive exam.
Which states now require the UMPJE instead of the MPJE?+
As of April 1, 2026: Arizona, Iowa, North Carolina, and Rhode Island require the UMPJE. Kansas offers both through April 2027. Florida, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, and West Virginia transition June 1, 2026. Ohio and Virginia transition October 1, 2026. All other states still use the state-specific MPJE. See our full UMPJE guide for the complete table.
Should I take the MPJE or NAPLEX first?+
Most students recommend taking the NAPLEX before the MPJE. The clinical context from NAPLEX prep makes pharmacy law easier to understand. However, there is no official requirement — take the MPJE first if your job start date requires your state license sooner.
How long should I study for the MPJE?+
Most candidates need 4–6 weeks of structured daily study. Recent graduates testing in their home state often need 3–4 weeks. For the UMPJE (no state-specific content), most find 3–4 weeks sufficient. See our guide on how long to study for the MPJE for a personalized estimate.
